Tutor sessions follow the Orton-Gillingham method of reading instruction.

Most are private sessions held at local libraries or coffee shops.

An informal assessment is done the first time we meet. Please provide information from any formal assessments so appropriate lessons may be created for your child.

In an individual or small group session, we cover phonemic awareness, spelling rules, reading comprehension, grammar and fluency. Each lesson is unique and builds upon and reviews the skills needed to develop into a proficient reader.

Most students have two tutor sessions each week.
